Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem stirs the rumour mill as he teases stories of baking for Meryl Streep, alternative career paths and his penchant for wearing high heels.
Live from Speyside, Scotland, the actor spoke exclusively to British GQ whilst visiting the home of Scotch whisky Chivas Regal. Recently announced as a global face for the luxury whisky, Javier took time out from exploring the Strathisla Distillery to spill the beans in the short film produced by GQ. Titled “Fake News with Javier Bardem”, the actor reveals his humorous side with playful answers to probing questions about his life outside acting.
And the fun didn’t stop there for Javier, who was also pictured enjoying a dram of the luxury whisky whilst at Strathisla - the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands and source of the single malt that can be found at the heart of each and every Chivas Regal blend. Director of Blending Sandy Hyslop presented Javier with his own exclusive blend of his latest creation, Chivas Regal Ultis; meanwhile Chivas Regal Custodian Master Blender Colin Scott, the guardian of the famously generous Chivas Regal signature style, shared his secrets to the art of blending with the actor.
The interview film was released on GQ.co.uk, to coincide with the star’s cover shoot for the May issue of the British title. To view the film, visit:
