Making whisky isn’t like making most other things. It’s a combination of art and science, nature and technology, heart and mind. It’s work to be proud of, and it needs people who understand that.

Alongside paid sick leave, a competitive annual leave allowance and a pension scheme – we offer all teammates a range of additional benefits.

We have a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme, which gives teammates access to professionals who can help them deal with issues affecting them in and out of work. We also have a network of Mental Health Listeners and in-house specialists in our Occupational Health team. Alongside this, we also offer private medical insurance and income protection. 

All teammates get three paid days off a year to volunteer for a charity of their choice through our Chivas SOS (Spirit of Support) scheme. They can also use their SOS hours to join in with the many community volunteering activities we organise throughout the year. Alongside this, we also offer payroll giving, through which teammates can make donations to a huge range of charities.  

Teammates can buy a stake in our parent company, Pernod Ricard, through our share plans. These mean teammates can benefit even further when the company does well. Other income-related benefits include our bonus scheme and pension plan, which the company contributes to.  

Through our reward and recognition platform, Angels’ Share, teammates can gift points to one another that can be spent in a huge range of high street shops and restaurants. All teammates also get an allowance to spend in our on-site shops, and have access to an employee discount scheme, which offers money off travel bookings, high street vouchers, days out and leisure activities.  

Making the decision to start a family can be an exciting and overwhelming time for many. We also recognise modern families can take on many forms and have looked to create a more holistic approach to how we support our people through this life stage.

Our teammates are entitled to 26 weeks fully paid maternity leave or shared parental leave and eight weeks fully paid paternity leave, giving both parents the opportunity to spend time with their child during the first year. Enhanced adoption leave is available for our teammates at 26 weeks, fully paid. Finally, our policies support anyone looking to enter into a surrogacy agreement and include paid time off for those experiencing and/or those impacted by pregnancy loss.
