The Chivas Brothers team is raising a dram to toast being named Scotch Whisky Producer of The Year at this year’s International Spirits Challenge.
Now in its 25th year, the International Spirits Challenge is one of the most authoritative, respected and influential spirits competitions in the world. The win comes after the rigorous judging panel awarded trophies to Chivas’ first blended malt Chivas Ultis, Royal Salute 25 The Treasured Blend and Ballantine’s Glenburgie 15-Year-Old.
Chivas Brothers’ single malt portfolio also performed particularly well with the entire Secret Speyside and Aberlour ranges both winning Gold at this year’s competition; including Double Gold medals for Caperdonich Aged 25 Years, Glen Keith 1991 Aged 25 Years and Aberlour A’bunadh
Gordon Buist, Chivas Brothers Production Director commented:
“It’s been an extraordinary - and in many ways, very challenging - year, so it’s great to hear some good news and see our portfolio of Scotch whiskies recognised by such well-respected industry experts. To be named ISC Scotch Whisky Producer of the Year 2020 really is testament to the remarkable work of the Production team and rest of the business in recent years. A huge well done to everybody involved."
